Why choose the Katana format?Full-length proportion and design direction
A Katana format gives the design a full-length silhouette and a familiar relationship between blade, mounting, handle and scabbard. It can suit a collector who wants the broadest visual canvas for coordinating the blade finish, fittings, tsuka and saya. The format establishes the proportion; the options in the builder establish the appearance of this order.
Start with the overall contrast you want—restrained, traditional-inspired, dark, bright or highly decorative—then make the blade, fittings, handle and saya support the same direction. A deliberate palette usually produces a more coherent result than choosing every component in isolation.
Blade, steel and edge decisionsMaterial, geometry, polish and inscription
The current builder separates the blade into practical decisions such as material or steel, blade shape, cutting-edge option, groove, point line, polish and inscription. These controls may appear under names including Zukuri, Ha, Bo-Hi, Yokote, Togi and Mei. Follow the options actually shown in the live builder because availability and priced combinations can change.
Review the full blade selection as one system. A groove changes the visual rhythm of the blade; polish affects its surface presentation; the edge choice affects handling responsibility; and an inscription should be checked character by character before checkout. The preview and saved configuration—not a generic product photograph—identify what you selected.
Tsuka, fittings and sayaBuild a coordinated mounting
The mounting choices bring most of the visible personality to a custom Katana. Depending on current availability, the builder can include samegawa and its application style, tsuka-ito material, wrapping style, tsuba, seppa, habaki, fuchi and kashira, menuki, saya and sageo. Each category has a different role, but they should read as one composition when viewed together.
Use the large preview to compare colors and finishes after every major change. A simple method is to choose one dominant tone for the saya, one supporting tone for the handle and one metal finish that repeats across the fittings. The builder remains authoritative if a pictured example and a currently selectable option differ.

Fully custom orders currently require approximately 3–4 months before dispatch, depending on the configuration and workshop conditions. This is production time, not carrier transit time. Tracking begins after the completed parcel is handed to the shipping carrier.

Will the price change as I choose options?
Yes. Priced selections update the configured total inside Kickflip. Review that total and the cart price before completing checkout.
What does the builder preview represent?
It helps you review the selected combination from several views. The saved configuration and Shopify order record are the operational reference for the custom build.
Can I add an inscription?
Use the inscription or Mei choice shown in the live builder when available. Confirm spelling, characters and requested placement before checkout.
How long does production take?
Current guidance for a fully custom order is approximately 3–4 months before dispatch. Carrier transit begins only after workshop completion.
When will I see the shipping charge?
After you enter the delivery destination at checkout, Shopify shows the available shipping rate before payment is completed.
Can I change the design after checkout?
Contact support as early as possible with the order number. A change is not guaranteed and depends on the request and the current production stage.
Can a custom Katana be returned?

Awesome sword and great customer service!
Uh small problem most likely a glitch please fix it quickly cause I added a custom blade to my cart two times and can't remove one idk why
They have terrible communication. I’ve been trying to get information on my order for over a week now and no one can give me an update. They all keep telling me the same thing and now they’re not responding at all. I was so excited but the lack of communication and the worry about my order makes me very upset.

Really good quality, better that the expected considering the price
The order took quite a long time to arrive, but honestly I am very satisfied with the final product. The quality is great, the customization was done very well, and everything looks exactly as expected. I also really appreciated the extra gift included in the package — that was a very nice surprise and a thoughtful gesture. This was my first order, but I will definitely come back with more orders in the future. Thank you for the work and care put into the order. Even though the waiting time was long, the final result was worth it.
It’s an excellent sword, and the blade looks great for the price. The only thing I regret is not going for a nicer saya. This cheaper one isn’t bad, but it’s missing the horn fittings and the overall look of the more premium options they offer. If you’re putting together a custom piece like I did, I’d definitely recommend not cutting corners there. Aside from that, I really don’t have any complaints—maybe it could be a bit sharper, but that’s about it.
I'm collecting the Ghost of Tsushima/Yotei swords. I have so far got Jin Sakai katana/wakazashi set, Atsu Wolf Blade and now the Takeza Gilded Dawn. The sword is excellent. The white with the gold streaks is very nice. Gilded Night is next on my list to complete the collection.

So first time buying and I m from the uk for possible buyers wondering as well I was scared in case customs would seize it but in the box it came with comes there card saying that is handforged to respect tradition and there socials if customs what to check and even how many blacksmiths they have . I will for sure by again the katana has tight fittings and the scabbard is tight but not to tight as well thanks nimofan 👌 shipping was pretty fast as well according to the shipping days it takes them normally now I can buy my purple Emma in peace 😁😁
I had originally ordered the katana around November for a Christmas present to my boyfriend but because custom purchase take a while it didn’t get here until now, and let me just say the wait time and patience for it was worth it all seeing all the details are truly incredible and amazing, even the workers/support team where extremely helpful with the questions I had overall. If you’re thinking of purchasing any kind of sword this is your sign to do so, whether it’s custom or not believe me it’s 10000% worth it

I ordered the custom katana on my specifications and the craftmenship is great. Like it how ist made and will order one more...but I just miss maybe the hadori polish to get the hamon more to visibility...but overall I am very happy with the sword!

Love the sword, however the scabbed was cracked. I had previously bought the Ghost of Tsushima swords, and the scabard for them were of a higher quality and much sturdier. The Tsushima sword has a thick laquered scabard, whereas the Yotei scarbard seems quite thin and flimsy in comparison, and not laquered. That said, I am very happy with the sword itself, and will be purchasing more in the near future.

Ordered this custom katana on Nov 16th and just received it today, Jan 5th. Estimated delivery of Jan 7th. So I’m happy it came sooner and I was home to collect when the postman arrived. This katana is so beautiful and I got a free rosewood tanto as a promo they were doing for Christmas. Test cut the katana on the cardboard box it came with and it cut very nice for just the regular sharpening. I noticed the Saya fits a bit loose but I don’t really care, it’s still a good quality for the price. I was nervous at first to order cause there weren’t many reviews, and the ones that were, were all from the same guy. But the item arrived, is just like I designed and the customer support is so good too. They reached out to me a week after I ordered asking if I meant to leave the tsuba selection blank (I did) and we resolved the issues then and there, the lady who emailed was super kind too. Shoutout to you Emily! My katana took a bit longer to make because of the customization I did, so if you’re ordering a premade katana it’ll obviously ship faster, or if you make a custom that doesn’t have lots of specialization needed expect it to come sooner, the overall quality is perfect for the price I payed, if you want something super sharp, super tight fitting maybe look elsewhere but for the vast majority of people just using it as a play toy or display piece 10/10 recommend these guys 🙂

My first katana from nimofan, a custom one. I order from Spain and it took 3 months for me since I Pay to when I recieve it home. It’s okay cause I know the custom katana takes time, plus the international order. I was all time attended perfectly by the attendance service of nimofan when I had questions. 10/10 service and the quality of the katana. Love the kanjis they engraved and the care of the product. Love these swords. I bought the Ghost of Tsushima katana/wakazashi set. Having a hand forged blade with an actual Hamon is great. Customer service was excellent and correspondance through Watsapp was a nice touch. I'm a UK buyer and the swords took approx 4 weeks to arrive. I will be ordering the Ghost of Yotei swords (Wolf blades and Takezo swords) once ive saved up enough money.
