Just a small workshop in Longquan — a city with over a thousand years of swordsmithing tradition.

There are only 11 full-time craftsmen in our forge. Real smiths. Real blades. No marketing gimmicks, no factory shortcuts. We’re not here to dominate the market. We just want to make things the right way — and earn what’s fair.

At NIMOFAN, we believe a good sword shouldn’t be hidden behind exaggerated hype or a fake “Made in Japan” label.

Design with soul

To carry forward the spirit and style of traditional Japanese swords, we’ve invited Hiroshi Sato to guide our design.

He’s not Japanese — but he’s spent decades immersed in samurai culture, sword aesthetics, and hands-on craftsmanship. As a seasoned smith and researcher, his specialty lies in the form and philosophy of tachi and katana.

Thanks to him, every NIMOFAN blade carries the right balance of proportion, presence, and soul — true to tradition, but never a copy.

New blood, same passion

Hiroshi’s son, Nimori, is our bridge to the new generation. Growing up around his father’s forge, he understands the old ways — but also brings a love for anime, manga, and modern subculture.

His influence brings a touch of creativity and boldness to our designs, keeping them alive and evolving.

What NIMOFAN means

The name NIMOFAN comes from my daughter’s nickname, Nimo.

I wanted her to know — one day — that her dad once built something with a group of honest craftsmen. Something fueled by passion, not pretense.

No tricks. Just steel.

We’re not a factory. We’re not here to pump out mass-produced blades.

We don’t rely on tricks like fake “free shipping” or flash sale tactics.

Because we know: real sword lovers don’t want cheap. They want something that feels real in the hand — and honest in the heart.
