Where Our Katanas Are Forged

NIMOFAN Katana takes pride in our unique approach to katana production. While rooted in Japanese tradition, our blades are forged in a blend of locations that honor both heritage and innovation. Our primary workshop, led by master craftsman Hiroshi Sato, is located in Seki City, Japan -a place renowned for its sword-making legacy.

We also collaborate with skilled artisans in select regions of China, particularly in areas known for their long-standing metalworking traditions. This approach allows us to offer a diverse range of katanas, each with its own distinct characteristics, while maintaining the high standards set by Sato-san.

Hiroshi Sato & Nimori

Hiroshi Sato, our Head of Research and Development, brings decades of experience in traditional Japanese swordsmithing. His expertise guides our production process, ensuring each katana meets the highest standards of quality and authenticity.

Nimori, Sato's son and our young ambassador, represents the bridge between tradition and the future of katana craftsmanship. While still learning the intricate art of swordmaking under his father's guidance, Nimori embodies the spirit of the next generation. His presence in our workshop symbolizes the continuity of this ancient craft and our commitment to preserving it for future generations. Though not yet a master craftsman himself, Nimori's enthusiasm and dedication serve as an inspiration to both our team and our customers, reminding us of the importance of passing down this venerable tradition.

Ryze

Ryze, the founder of NIMOFAN Katana, embarked on this journey inspired by his encounter with master swordsmith Hiroshi Sato in Seki City. His passion for Japanese culture and craftsmanship led to the creation of a brand that bridges tradition with modern appreciation.
