I’ll admit it — some Reddit comments got to me.
They said NIMOFAN is just another site selling knock-off swords.
Honestly? That stung.
Because I know each of our blades is hand-forged by real craftsmen, with real care.
But maybe they’re right about one thing:
It’s not that we lack quality — it’s that this industry is full of smoke and mirrors.
Too many “free shipping” offers just hide the cost in the price.
Too much fancy branding, selling mass-produced blades at artisan prices.
So I’ve decided:
No more pretending. No more fluff. No more following the crowd.
From now on:
- no longer offer "free shipping" — because shipping is never really free.
- many traditional Longquan sword shops don’t offer free shipping either. We’re doing the same.
- Our pricing is transparent — just enough to pay our smiths fairly and keep our lights on.
- On every sword we sell, we make just a 10% profit.
These are genuine hand-forged katana, made by skilled artisans —
Not some shiny stock blade from a warehouse.
And they shouldn’t cost what other sites pretend they’re worth.
If you want an $80 piece of flat steel cut into a blade from Temu,
please look elsewhere.
But if you want an honest sword at an honest price —you’re in the right place.

Hiroshi's son and our young ambassador, bridges old-school cool and new-school swagger. Learning from his dad, he keeps the ancient art of swordmaking alive. Nimori's passion for manga and anime brings a modern flair to our katanas.
Our fearless founder, caught the katana bug in Seki City. But his true obsession lies with ancient Chinese weapons. Inspired by legendary blades like the Goujian Sword and the Ganjiang and Moye Swords, Ryze is on a mission to showcase the beauty of Asian craftsmanship to the world.
